O.C. says: (It's great living with a scientist. "Honey, what is this?"]

1. Snowy Egret
2. Least Sandpiper
3.4.5. Herring Gull

Katie: Watching the birds was fun, too.

Quilly: Thank O.C. for the info. I thought the first one was a crane and the last ones just plain old seagulls, so I learned lots. And thanks for passing the info on.

I love birds! We get this huge bird in the creek behind our house, I'm sure it's a crane. It's gray and very awkward. When it takes off, WOW does it ever make a lot of noise! lol
Thanks for sharing the pics :)

Dabich: I find the cranes really fascinating, too. There are a bunch living up in the PA mountains, which I think is odd, but I don't know why. I guess I think of them as water birds mostly.

Tsduff: I'm going to try to get me some northern Pennsylvania birds next weekend. Or deer. Or if I'm really lucky a bear. Everyone has seen the bear but me.
